Trip Hoffman, PharmD, Co-Owner of Alpine Apothecary

Trip graduated from pharmacy school at Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA in 1999. It was while working at a compounding pharmacy during pharmacy school that he met his mentors and developed a love of compounding pharmacy. From the beginning, he saw the importance of high standards, professionalism, and integrity. He studied the art of compounding and found joy and fulfillment in helping people in many unique situations.

While in pharmacy school, Trip met his wife, and in 1999 they moved to Salt Lake City. Over the next 20 years, he contributed to the success and growth of an independent compounding pharmacy, University Pharmacy.

Within the last five years, Trip has served on the Utah Board of Pharmacy by commencing and chairing the Compounding Task Force, and subsequently being appointed the Chair of the Board which he currently serves. Working in these roles has allowed him to understand the importance of meeting the highest standards and maintaining knowledge of federal and state regulations that ultimately improve quality and preserve patient safety.

Trip is enthusiastic to work closely with the community of Park City. He believes that optimal health outcomes are achieved when there is a collaborative effort between the patient, pharmacist and health care practitioner.

When not at Alpine Apothecary, Trip enjoys being outside and spending time with his wife, 3 wonderful kids and 2 dogs. Some activities that bring a smile to his face are running, biking, skiing and coaching his kids’ sports teams.
